Rathdrum, Idaho

Just 10 minutes north of Post Falls off Hwy 41, Rathdrum offers small-town living at its best. Originally named Westwood, it was the county seat at the turn of the last century, with the railroad depot as the heart of the community. Idaho’s oldest brick church, the St. Stanislaus Kostka Mission, is located in Rathdrum and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Rathdrum is anchored on the edge of the Rathdrum Prairie in the shadow of beautiful Rathdrum Peak. Rathdrum’s neighbors are the Twin Lakes which are a popular recreation and camping spot in addition to being home of a golf village with an 18-hole course, full restaurant and lounge.

Today with well-planned residential and commercial development, excellent schools and services, Rathdrum is one of the fastest growing communities in the state.

Ironman Coeur d'Alene 2010 is the 8th year Ironman triathletes will come from around the world to compete in this qualifier for the World Ironman Championship in Kona.  IM CDA is on June 27 this year.  Here's the start at City Beach on lake Coeur d'Alene.  The field has been set but volunteers are always welcome.  Sign up here.
