Iron Kids is a one mile fun run in downtown Coeur d’Alene, starting in City Park, for kids ages 0 through 14. Parents are encouraged to run with small children. The entry fee is $5 and kids get a t-shirt and a medal for participating. The race starts at 6 but families should plan on being there an hour early to get signed up and to pick up your t-shirts (lines can be long). St. Joe River Jet Boat Races
It’s going to happen – On May 17-19, 2013 in St. Maries, Idaho watch racers negotiate narrow turns, sandbars, rocks, and whitewater rapids at speeds up to 140 mph. Fans can view the race boats and talk with race teams in-person starting at 6 p.m. with an amazing fireworks display at dusk! Saturday & Sunday, May 18-19 will feature two days of action-packed racing on the St. Joe River from the Idaho Forest Industries Landing to the Calder Bridge and back with several race legs along the approximate 25-mile course each day! Spectators may watch the action for free along any riverbank with public access. Racing begins at 10 a.m. and goes every hour, on the hour until the late afternoon.
